 Slice, peel and then cut the pumpkin (or squash) into small pieces.
 Put in a saucepan with a little water, cover and simmer until it’s
 tender. drain, let cool, and force through a strainer, or mast with a
 potato masher.
 Many of the recipes in this collection did not contain amounts or oven
 temperatures. I have typed them in as they appear in the book, typos
 and all.
