2 c  All-purpose flour
     1 tb Baking powder
   1/4 ts Salt
 1 1/2 c  Light brown sugar; firmly
          -packed
   1/2 c  Butter; melted
     2 lg Eggs; beaten
     1 tb Vanilla extract
    12 oz Semisweet chocolate chips
   1/2 c  Walnuts or pecans; chopped
 Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and light brown sugar in a medium
 bowl. Add butter, eggs, and vanilla; stir well. Stir in chocolate
 morsels and nuts. Spoon into a greased 9 inch pieplate. Bake at 350
 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes
 out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
yields one 9 -inch pie
Wonderful with vanilla or butter pecan ice cream.
