Ingredients & Directions
                
 1 1/2 c  Flour, sifted
   1/4 ts Baking powder
   1/2 ts To 1 salt
   2/3 c  Lard or shortening
     3 tb Sugar, if desired
   1/3 c  Cold water, about
 Sift together dry ingredients. Add fat and cut with tow knives or
 pastry blender until mealy. Stir in water until pastry leaves the
 sides of bowl. Divide into 2 balls. roll one to fit the pie tin, use
 the other for the top of the pie.
 Many of the recipes in this collection did not contain amounts or oven
 temperatures. I have typed them in as they appear in the book, typos
 and all.
