Ingredients & Directions
                
     8 oz Flour
     3 oz Butter
     2 oz Castor sugar
     1    Egg
     2 oz Currants
   1/2 ts Bicarbonate of soda
     2 tb Milk
 TEISEN GRI Sift the flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt together. Rub the
 butter into the flour and add the sugar and fruit. Beat the egg and add
 with enough milk to make a soft dough. Turn on to a floured board and roll
 out to a thickness of 1/2 inch. Cook on a hot greased griddle.
