1/2 c  Unsalted butter
   1/4 c  Vegetable shortening
     1 c  Light brown sugar
     1    Egg
   1/4 c  Light molasses
     2 c  Flour
   1/4 ts Kosher salt
     2 ts Baking soda
     1 ts Cinnamon
   1/2 ts Ground ginger
   1/2 ts Ground cloves
   1/2 ts Ground allspice
 Cream butter, shortening, and sugar together. Add eggs and molasses-beat to
 mix well. Sift together flour, salt, baking soda, and spices. Add to sugar
 mixture-mix well. Mold into 3/4-inch balls. Place onto a parchment-lined
 baking sheet. Flatten with a spatula. Bake @ 350 degrees for 13-15 minutes,
 until golden. Remove to cool. Serve at room temperature.
